The player holding a torch in LEGO Fortnite

LEGO Fortnite: How to Not Be Cold

If you’re sick of getting cold in LEGO Fortnite and want a way to avoid it, don’t worry. We’ve got you covered.

Players can get hot or cold in LEGO Fortnite, depending on which biome they are in. When affected by these temperatures, players will become slower and may even take damage. It can make exploring certain areas of the map a challenge. Fortunately, there is a solution to avoid being damaged by the cold in LEGO Fortnite. Below, we’ve outlined every strategy to not be cold.

How to Not Be Cold in LEGO Fortnite

There are 3 ways to avoid being cold in LEGO Fortnite: hold a torch, stand by a campfire, and eat a Spicy Pepper. The first two are the easiest, as they simply require you to craft an item and stand near it or hold it. Spicy Peppers are slightly harder to come by but will offer you a greater resistance to the cold while allowing you the freedom of unimpeded travel.

To build a campfire, players will need 3 pieces of Wood. Similarly, torches require 3 pieces of wood and 5 vines. However, while torches are more portable and allow you to travel while remaining hot, you can only craft them at the Crafting Bench. Once you’ve run out, you’ll have to rely on a campfire or Spicy Peppers.

Spicy Peppers can be located on bushes in the desert biome (also known as Dry Valley), as well as in chests. Spicy Peppers will give you 2 minutes of resistance to cold when eaten on their own. However, you can cook them into a Spicy Burger to increase the resistance time to 10 minutes. To make a Spicy Burger, you need 1 Spicy Pepper, 1 Flour, and 2 Meat.
