Is Lies of P Open World or Linear?

Lies of P, the souls-like based on Pinocchio mythos, launches soon, but fans are curious if it is a linear or more open-world style of game.

The genre of souls type games has had its different types of exploration. Games like Bloodborne and Dark Souls feature a more linear experience, whereas a game like Elden Ring has an expansive open world that players can freely explore after the tutorial.

Is Lies of P Open World?

The world of Krat in Lies of P will not be an open world. However, in a vein similar to Bloodborne, it features big linear-style sections that are not locked once players have left, allowing them to be explored again whenever the player chooses.

Many other games feature this type of gameplay such as Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 16, which allows for a set path but still provides breathing room for players to stretch their legs.
