Is Dragon’s Dogma 2 Crossplay & Cross-Progression?

Dragon’s Dogma 2 does feature some online content in the form of Pawns, but can you use crossplay to expand how many you can choose from?

In Dragon’s Dogma 2, you have access to AI-controlled companions called Pawns. You take these from the Rift, a place where players can share their custom-made Pawn with others. However, while you can definitely access players’ Pawns from the same platform as you, is there crossplay to help you access a greater number of unique Pawns?

Does Dragon’s Dogma 2 Have Crossplay?

No, Dragon’s Dogma 2 does not have crossplay between PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. You will only be able to get Pawns from other players on the same platform as you. Outside of that, as there are no multiplayer modes, there is no need for crossplay.

Fortunately, even if there aren’t enough players sharing their Pawns, the game will automatically create ones for you to recruit. So, you don’t need to worry about having a greater pool to pick from across all platforms.

Does Dragon’s Dogma 2 Have Cross-Progression?

No, Dragon’s Dogma 2 does not have cross-progression. You cannot transfer your save from one platform to another. If you play Dragon’s Dogma 2 on one platform and then boot it up on another platform, you will have to start from scratch. That’s because your save isn’t uploaded to a general Capcom server, which you can log in to. It will be localized to your specific PC or console. So, you’ll need to think carefully about which platform you want to play Dragon’s Dogma 2 on before buying it.

That’s everything you need to know about crossplay and cross-progression in Dragon’s Dogma 2. For more guides just like this one, be sure to check out our Guide Hub.
