How Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will Integrate Together

Since its release, Call of Duty: Warzone has been a smash hit amongst fans. In its first 5 months, it reached over 75 million players. So it only makes sense for Warzone to be included in the latest Call of Duty game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will launch on November 13, and on December 10, season 1 will begin. With the release of the first season, Black Ops Cold War content will be invading all of Warzone’s modes.

Levelling & Battle Pass

At release, Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War will have a “pre-season” battle pass. On December 10, Warzone, Modern Warfare, and Black Ops Cold War will synchronize and the same battle pass will progress across all 3 games. Your XP and levels will also carry across all 3 games as well. Meaning you can level it up on any game, including Black Ops Cold War Zombies.

The levelling system will be similar to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Players progress through Military Ranks to unlock functional gameplay items, before moving into seasonal levelling. The last Military Rank will be level 55 again as well.

In order for shared progression across all 3 games, your rank will be reset to level one at the start of Black Ops Cold War Season One. Luckily, only XP is reset and you will keep all your previous unlocks (weapons, perks, killstreaks etc.) in Modern Warfare.

Weapons

At the beginning of season 1, every weapon from Modern Warfare and new weapons from Black Ops Cold War will be available in Warzone. You can bring any weapon into Warzone from both games including blueprint variants.

When looking at weapons in the Warzone menu, there will be visible logos signalling which game the gun is from. When you unlock a gun in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War you will have it immediately in Warzone.

Operators

All operators from Modern Warfare or Black Ops Cold War will be available in Warzone. All of the Skins, Quips and Finishing Moves will also carry over to Warzone. There will be new Operators in Black Ops Cold War, so the Operator select screen will have more choices than any other Call of Duty title to date.

Unfortunately, there is an exception, Frank Woods is available in all 3 games, but he only has one skin available in Modern Warfare. The skin you receive as part of a digital pre-order purchase of Black Ops Cold War will only be available in Modern Warfare and Warzone and not Black Ops Cold War.

The Store

Season One will kick off the in-game store and majority of the content purchased in Black Ops Cold War can be used in Warzone. Items will be clearly labelled what game they will be available in to avoid any confusion.

There will be 3 stores, one for each game. Each store featuring content playable in that game. The Warzone store will have content from both Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare, and will have a logo on the item so you know exactly where it is from.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will launch on November 13, and Warzone will be integrated on December 10 alongside the release of Season 1.
