After the PlayStation September State of Play, Honkai: Star Rail has officially received a date for when it will be released on PlayStation 5.
The game has already been a commercial success, as are most games by HoYoverse. And just like their previous games, they always release on PC and mobile devices first, before coming to PlayStation. Fortunately, we now have a date for when that will be.
When Does Honkai Star Rail Release on PlayStation?
Honkai: Star Rail is set to debut for PlayStation 5 on October 11, 2023. The game will be free to play, but it will offer in-game transactions where you can buy different items.
As of now, the game’s creators haven’t announced any plans to release a PlayStation 4 version, and it’s unlikely to happen in the near future.
What is Honkai: Star Rail?
MiHoYo, the creators of Genshin Impact, launched their latest free-to-play, turn-based RPG, Honkai: Star Rail, on April 26, 2023. It came out after several successful beta tests and stands as the fourth game in the Honkai series. This game combines elements from its predecessor, Honkai Impact 3rd, and Genshin Impact.
In this game, you play as the Trailblazer. You join the crew of the Astral Express, a magical train that zooms through galaxies. The story kicks off after someone puts a strange device inside you, giving you incredible destructive powers.
