The massively popular Honkai Impact 3rd PC and mobile game is receiving a brand-new update called Part 2, which comes with plenty of new content.
Fans of Honkai Impact 3rd already got to fight alongside Valkyries in Part 1 and Part 1.5. In Part 2, players get the chance to head off to Mars with some all-new characters! Read on to find out about all the new characters, maps, and combat mechanics coming in Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2.
All Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2 Details
Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2 Release Date
Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2 will be released on PC and mobile on Friday, February 29, 2024. It is a free update available across all supported platforms, which include PC, Android, and iOS devices. To get it, all you have to do is log on and download the update when it goes live.
According to a press release from the game’s developers, miHoYo, Honkai Impact 3rd will also release on the Mac App Store “in the near future”. They gave no official date, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled!
All Characters Coming in Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2
There are 3 new characters being added in the Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2 update: Senadina, Helia, and Coralie. You will meet all three of these new characters at the beginning of Part 2 as you explore the new locations on Mars. Here is a breakdown of these new characters:
- Senadina – wields a yoyo and specializes in aerial combat.
- Helia – a skilled warrior who wields a pair of rapid-shot crossbows
- Coralie – wields a giant hammer for devastating melee attacks

Each of the three new characters in Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2 will have their unique playstyle. Helia’s expertise in ranged combat is evident in how she shoots her foes at a distance with her pair of rapid-shot crossbows. In contrast, Coralie uses a giant hammer and prefers to get up close and personal with her enemies. Senadina utilizes a yoyo as her weapon of choice and makes the best use of the game’s new aerial combat mechanics.
All New Maps in Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2
There are two new cities on Mars for players to explore: Oxia City and Langqiu. They both add new stores and shops for players to visit. Here is a full list of every new map:
- Oxia City – Modern metropolis with game arcades and shopping malls
- Langqiu – a new city location draped in a cool steampunk aesthetic
Players will be able to explore these new cities at the start of the Part 2 update.
All New Changes in Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2
The major new changes coming in Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2 include improved enemy AI, new combat mechanics, new events, and time-limited rewards. Here are all the new changes:

It sounds like you’ll need all the help you can get as enemy AI seems to be improving in Part 2, with “more diverse skills” in battle. Thankfully, there’s also a new Astral Ring system to help you out, which sees players accumulate energy during battle and then, when charged, enter a state that allows them to fire off simultaneous burst skills.
