Helldivers 2 Major Order: How to Activate the Terminid Control System

Helldivers 2 has a new Major Order that requires players to Activate the Terminid Control System. Here’s how to complete it.

So, you want to help the war effort and complete the Terminid Control System Major Order in Helldivers 2? Brilliant. First, you’ll need to get to grips with its missions. You can contribute to this Major Order by completing missions in any of the four Barrier Planets in the Umlaut Sector. These include Fenrir III, Turing, Meridia, and Erata Prime. One of the missions on these planets requires you to Activate Terminid Control System. While it’s not ridiculously challenging, for the uninitiated Helldiver, it can be tricky. Fortunately, we’ve explained exactly how to beat it below.

How to Activate the Terminid Control System in Helldivers 2

To activate the Terminid Control System in Helldivers 2, you must activate the central tower, then activate and defend each of the Battery Silo towers. Then, activate the terminal at extraction and extract. We’ve broken down the exact way to complete this Major Order mission in Helldivers 2 below:

  1. Press the glowing yellow button at the base of the central tower to activate it
  2. Activate each of the Battery Silos (the three giant towers surrounding the central tower) by pressing the glowing yellow button on the terminal near them
  3. Defend each Battery Silo from the Terminids.
    • If a Battery Silo receives enough damage, it’ll become critically unstable. Once you reach this point, it’ll shut down, and you’ll have to reactivate it again.
  4. Once each Battery Silo has been activated, head to the terminal next to the extraction point and activate it.
  5. Call in extraction and defend your position until it arrives.

The best way to complete this mission is to work as a group. Tackle each silo together, ensuring to throw down sentries to guard them as the Terminids spawn in. Additionally, bringing a flamethrower is a must, as it’ll help deal with Chargers. It’s important to note that both you and your stratagems can deal damage to the silos. This includes sentries and any orbital strikes. So, be careful where you place them, as you could undo all of your progress. Finally, there are absolutely no secondary objectives in this mission, so extract as soon as you can. There’s not much point hanging around beyond trying to find samples, although even then, there aren’t many.
