Helldivers 2 How to Check Planet Status

Helldivers 2: How to Check Planet Status

If you’re wondering how to check a planet’s status in the overarching Galactic War in Helldivers 2, don’t fret. It’s a very simple process!

As a PvE online shooter, Helldivers 2 forgoes a traditional campaign mode in favor of its Galactic War system. The Galactic War sees players fighting to liberate enemy-controlled planets in an effort to spread Democracy for all. You must work together to liberate all the planets in a sector to push the alien threat out of the galaxy. However, it’s not immediately clear how to check a planet’s liberation status and to know the most strategic planets to carry out your operations.

How to Check Planet Status in Helldivers 2

To check the planet status of any planet in Helldivers 2, you must head to the Galactic War map on your Destroyer ship, select a sector controlled by either the Automaton or Termind forces, and hover your cursor over a planet of your choice to view its liberation percentage.

When hovering over a given planet, you will see a percentage bar and number that denotes the planet’s Liberation percentage. The blue portion of the bar represents how much the planet has been liberated. The bar’s yellow (Terminids) or red (Automatons) area shows how much is left to be liberated. Beneath the progress bar, you can also see how many players are fighting on that planet.

How to Liberate Planets in Helldivers 2

To Liberate Planets in Helldivers 2, you must successfully complete missions in order to contribute to the liberation progress bar of any given planet in the game. Once enough players have fought for the cause, the planet will eventually reach 100% liberation. Once a planet is fully liberated you can no longer carry out missions there. You must either select another planet in the sector or move on to another sector entirely if they are all liberated.
