HoYoverse is happy to announce that Genshin Impact Version 4.1, titled To the Stars Shining in the Depths, is set to make its debut on September 27, 2023.
In this enormous update, players will embark on an epic journey to the northern reaches of Fontaine, where the main storyline continues to unfold. The roster of playable characters will expand to include Neuvillette and Wriothesley, two captivating additions that are sure to resonate with fans. Additionally, the enigmatic Fatui Harbinger, “Arlecchino,” will make her long-awaited debut.
What is Genshin Impact 4.1: To the Stars Shining in the Depths?
The upcoming Genshin Impact expansion introduces the prosperous Court of Fontaine, unveiling a rich tapestry of history and mystery from various angles. The latest Archon Quest will resume here as players accompany the Traveler on a quest to locate Childe.
However, this new chapter will not be without its perils. As players venture into the underwater domain and ancient ruins, they will encounter two menacing bosses. The first, The Millennial Pearl Seahorse, is a formidable beast that wields the power of Electro. The second, Experimental Field Generator, is an out-of-control research apparatus designed to manipulate gravity, and poses a unique challenge, granting players the ability to soar to new heights while requiring nimble evasion of its assaults.
New Playable Characters
Two significant Fontaine characters will ascend to the ranks of five-star Catalyst wielders, each with their own storylines. Neuvillette, the Iudex of Fontaine, harnesses the power of surging torrents with their Hydro-infused Charged Attacks. Wriothesley, the Administrator of the Fortress of Meropide, excels in close-quarters combat, delivering devastating Cryo damage.
Both characters possess the ability to sacrifice their health to execute powerful attacks, subsequently recovering their vitality afterward. Neuvillette and Hu Tao will headline the first round of Event Wishes, followed by Wriothesley and Venti.
Additionally, a poetry festival in Mondstadt and Liyue will appear in the update, providing an ideal backdrop to reunite with friends. The festival also introduces a collection of entertaining mini-games and a redeemable exclusive 4-star Catalyst.

During Version 4.1, players can access Primogems ×1,600, Fragile Resin ×4, and two unique gadgets, the “Portable Aerodynamic Gelatinous Bubble Generator” and “Itty Bitty Octobaby,” straight from their in-game mailbox.
