As the Season Finale event draws closer, there is only a small amount of confirmed information about next season, making players inquisitive about what is coming. There have been many rumors, including alleged new details showing the potential map coming to the Battle Royale. Here is everything we know about what might be coming to Fortnite Chapter 5.
According to Fortnite leaker PeQu on X, the new map will feature grass and snow regions. It will be populated by both flatlands and mountains, with the latter being on the lower end of the map.
The map looks very interconnected, with different river sections that traverse to small lakes. Judging from the layout, it seems there are a few massive cities or town areas, which are sure to be popular for players wanting to jump right into the gunfights as the match starts.
While Epic Games hasn’t confirmed the information, the next Fortnite map details will be available when the new season starts in a few days. This will also include all the new points of interest (POI).
Fortnite Chapter 5 Rumored Gameplay Features
Fortnite Chapter 5 is expected to have the addition of weapon mods, a separate racing mode, a first-person battle royale mode, creatures that players can ride on, and a more extensive locker system.
If the rumors are true, most of these additions would be brand-new to the game and offer fresh perspectives, particularly a first-person version of the Battle Royale. As there are many new modes that Epic Games and different community members have created, adding a racing mode may spark more players to try out Fortnite, especially with them owning Psyonix, the developers of Rocket League.
However, it’s important to remember that this information is only rumors, and there is no solidified information about the new season. We won’t have more details until the downtime begins on the game to prepare for the new Chapter.
