Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 has introduced Mod Benches to help improve your weapons, but where exactly are they located?
Mod Benches are a brand new gameplay mechanic in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 that allows players to upgrade their guns with attachments. These attachments include optics, bigger magazines, barrels, and grips. However, to get these attachments and make your guns better, you’ll first need to locate the Mod Benches. Fortunately, we’ve got you covered. Below, we explain the exact location of each Mod Bench in Fortnite.
All Mod Bench Locations in Fortnite
There are 5 Mod Benches in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1. Each one is located inside a vault found in major POIs on the island. Here are the locations of each Mod Bench:
- Fencing Fields
- Grand Glacier
- Lavish Lair
- Reckless Railways
- Snooty Steppes
To get access to each vault and its Mod Bench, you’ll first need to defeat the boss in that location and claim its Medallion. Once you’ve claimed the Medallion, open up the vault and head inside. The locations of these vaults are fixed in each game, so you’ll find them in the same place in every match.
To interact with the Mod Bench, simply go up to it and press Square (PlayStation), X (Xbox), E (PC), or Y (Switch). You’ll then be able to add up to 4 attachments per gun, depending on its rarity, with each attachment costing 75 Gold Bars. Uncommon weapons can only have 1 attachment, Rare can have 2, Epic can have 3, and Legendary can have 4. It’s important to note that any weapon purchased from a Vending Machine or taken from an NPC cannot be modified using the Mod Bench.
