Fallout TV Show is Coming Back For Season 2

Fans can breathe easy after the successful and lore-packed first season as the Fallout TV show is getting a Season 2.

The Fallout TV show by Amazon is an original story set in the iconic Fallout universe. It follows Lucy, a Vault 33 Dweller, as she treks the Wasteland to look for her father. The show brings the Fallout video game series to life, from the different easter eggs to the extensive lore. To both fans and critics alike, it, in many ways, nails it. Fortunately, we can expect Lucy to trek through the world again as Fallout is getting a Season 2.

Fallout TV Show Renewed For Season 2

The Fallout TV Show is officially returning for a Season 2, with the announcement coming from the official Fallout TV show account on X (formerly Twitter). The show has been incredibly successful for Amazon Prime and is well-received by fans, with an 8.6 out of 10 on IMDb with over 72,000 votes.

While the show has only been out for just over a week, many were worried there was no second season in sight. However, as previously reported, there were indications of a renewal through tax credits. The state of California gave the credits as an incentive for Amazon to film the next season there. It seems the incentive works, as the show is coming back. This is definitely good news for fans, as that major reveal in the season finale was too good a tease to leave it there. The promotional image for the Season 2 announcement gives a tiny hint at what we could expect. Looking at Walton Goggins’ character, The Ghoul, you can see he is holding two fingers up. Below, you can see the official Season 2 announcement.

Who Will Be Returning in Season 2 of Fallout?

The main cast will return as indicated by the announcement. Everyone’s favorite canine companion will also return. Secondary characters like Lucy’s father, Hank, played by Kyle MacLachlan, will likely return. Regarding other characters, it is unclear, and we won’t know more until production moves along in the next season of Fallout.

The show ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, so it will be interesting to see what happens next. Video game adaptations can be hit or miss. However, the last couple of entries, including HBO’s The Last of Us TV show and Sonic The Hedgehog movies, prove they can work well. Furthermore, The Super Mario Bros. movie crossed the massive billion-dollar milestone at the box office. So, if anything, adaptations of games seem to be on the up and up.

Fallout is a fantastic show; if you haven’t seen it yet, be sure to check it out on Amazon Prime Video. While waiting for Season 2, head to our Guide Hub to see more content from the post-apocalyptic series.
