Fallout 76 Atlantic City Battle Ready Guide

The upcoming Fallout 76 update, Atlantic City update, brings with it a range of quality-of-life changes, including the new Battle Ready dweller feature.

One of the most exciting new quality-of-life changes coming with the Fallout 76 Atlantic City update is that new players can start their new playthrough as a Battle Ready dweller. It’s intended to give them a jump start on the game and eliminate a portion of the early game grind. However, newcomers may not be sure what it means in the long term or how it affects the overall game. Fortunately, we’ve got you covered. Below, we explain everything there is to know about the new Battle Ready feature in Fallout 76.

What Is the Fallout 76 Battle Ready Dweller?

The Battle Ready Dweller feature in Fallout 76 allows players to start their adventure automatically at level 20. Additionally, they’ll be able to select from 5 preset loadouts, that have varying weapons, perks, and Special stat distribution. You will make this choice as soon as you leave Vault 76 but before heading out into Appalachia.

This feature is intended to help returning players avoid the early-game grind or get new players off to a strong start without needing to worry about being overwhelmed by early-game enemies. Of course, you can still choose to start the game as a “Fresh Dweller”. This is essentially how the game used to be, starting you off at level 1 with nothing more than the most basic equipment that all other players were given.
