Call of Duty: MW3 Zombies: How to Get the Ray Gun Schematics

Call of Duty: MW3 Zombies lets players unlock the iconic Ray Gun, but first, they must locate its schematics.

The Ray Gun is an iconic weapon, known as a Wonder Weapon in-game, in the Call of Duty Zombies series, first appearing in 2008’s World at War. Most notably, this futuristic weapon is absolutely deadly, capable of culling hordes of the undead with ease. Of course, fans are understandably curious about how to get their hands on it in MW3’s Zombies mode. Fortunately, it’s absolutely available for all players to unlock, but it will require a little legwork to get it. Below, we explain how to get the Ray Gun schematics in MW3 Zombies and then craft it for yourself.

How to Find the Ray Gun Schematics in MW3 Zombies

To get the Ray Gun Schematics in MW3 Zombies, you must complete Contracts located in the game’s Red Zone area. Upon completion, a Reward Rift will spawn, which gives out random rewards. One of these rewards is the Ray Gun schematics. However, you cannot guarantee which reward you will receive, so you may need to do multiple contracts in order to get it.

After you’ve successfully obtained the schematics, you’ll need to exfil with them. Make sure to immediately head to an exfil point with the schematic in your Rucksack to save them.

How to Craft the Ray Gun in MW3 Zombies

To craft the Ray Gun in MW3 Zombies, open up the main menu, select Schematics Crafting, and then the Wonder Weapons category. From here, simply select the Ray Gun from your list of available schematics and click Craft. You won’t need any additional materials to craft the Ray Gun outside of the schematic.

However, it’s important to note that the Ray Gun can only be crafted once every real-life 48 hours. This prevents you from crafting as many as you like, which makes sense considering how powerful it is. Once you have successfully crafted the Ray Gun, remember to place it in your Rucksack before heading back into the open world. Then, when you start your next game, all you’ll need to do is select the Equip button to begin using it.
