Best Weapon Choices in Call of Duty: MW3

Call of Duty: MW3 features plenty of weapons to use in the Multiplayer mode, and we have selected the top choices.

Weapons are split between different classes in MW3. However, choosing which weapons in each class to use is important to getting the upper hand against your enemy. To help, we have selected the best weapons to use in MW3 below.

SVA 545 (Assault Rifle)

The SVA 545 is an optimal choice not only as a starting weapon in Call of Duty: MW3 but as an assault rifle. The weapon features great damage as well as moderate range. However, you’ll need to add attachments to improve recoil in order to make this weapon a necessary choice.

Holger 556 (Assault Rifle)

Another great weapon choice is the Holger 556 assault rifle. Despite its slower fire rate compared to the SVA 545, the Holger has a greater damage output. Pairing that with attachments that improve recoil control makes this a fantastic choice of a weapon. It is already receiving much attention as a fan favorite amongst players.

BAS-B (Battle Rifle)

The battle rifles are one of the weaker classes in Call of Duty: MW3, however, the BAS-B is the strongest of the group. The weapon focuses on both high accuracy and high damage. As a battle rifle, it is the best choice and is certain to win gunfights whether in full-auto firing mode or single shot.

Rival-9 (SMG)

Players that mix the proper attachments to allow for more recoil control as well as adding an extended magazine, will have the optimal weapon choice for short to medium range gunfights.

Lockwood 680 (Shotgun)

When it comes to close-quarter engagements, shotguns are king. The Lockwood 680 is a prominent choice and showed strong promise within its multiplayer beta weekends. While it suffers from the negative of being a pump-action and, therefore, a slow fire rate, adding a laser attachment with the use of tac-stance gives fast spint to fire speed and can greatly increase preparedness. Players can also shorten its barrel to allow for even faster engagement times, but must be prepared to use the weapon in very close gunfights only.

Pulemyot 762 (LMG)

The Russian heavy LMG, the Pulemyot 762 is a powerhouse for those wanting to use light machine guns. It provides optimal damage at the trade off of having a slower fire rate as well as low mobility speed. Players should focus on equipping attachments to it that allow for greater recoil control such as a bipod, allowing the the best choice in holding down objective points or choke areas.

MCW 6.8 (Marksman Rifle)

The MCW 6.8 is a great choice within the marksman rifle category of weapons. As they deal with single shot, high damage outputs, the MCW 6.8 does that perfectly. It works great at medium ranges and high accuracy allows for precision shots without worry. Equipping a medium range scope such as a 3x allows for great coverage across most of the maps within the game.

Any shots to the upper torso with the Longbow are almost always guaranteed to be a one hit kill to the enemy.
