Gunfire Games’ much-anticipated sequel, Remnant 2 has a release date and players can expect to play it soon.
The 2023 Summer Game Fest was filled with plenty of gameplay and announcement trailers. However, Remnant 2, the sequel to Gunfire Games’ Remnant: From The Ashes, stood out among the rest.
Remnant 2 Summer Game Fest Announcement
Gunfire Games first released Remnant: From The Ashes back in 2019 and it was well acclaimed by many. The game wasn’t seen as a AAA game but had many of the qualities and gameplay elements that make up one. It was streamed by many on Twitch, and players were wishing for a sequel to be in the works.
Fortunately, all wishes came true during the 2022 Game Awards when an announcement trailer for Remnant 2 was revealed. More information about the game was announced at the 2023 Summer Game Fest, so now we finally have a release date, and it’s sooner than you think.
What is Remnant 2?
Gunfire Games looks to take what made their predecessor special and greatly improve upon it. The sequel has players either solo or teaming up to fight against evils that threaten the last of humanity.
New archetype systems allow players to mix and match classes in order to suit their playstyle and try new methods of combating the enemy. Players will journey across strange and fantastic new worlds on their journey to ensure humanity’s survival in a world torn apart.
Every time players start a new playthrough, the world will change for them. This includes everything from locations, enemies, NPCs, bosses, and even weapon spawns.
Remnant 2 Release Date and Platform Details
Remnant 2 is releasing on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC through Epic Games Store and Steam.
The game is available for pre-order on all platform storefronts. All editions will receive the preorder bonus of an early unlock of the Gunslinger archetype at the game startup.
It releases on July 25, 2023, for both Standard and Deluxe Edition owners. The game releases through early access on July 21, 2023, for Ultimate Edition owners.
