Remnant 2’s release is on the horizon, and many are curious if the highly-anticipated sequel is launching on Xbox Game Pass.
Remnant: From the Ashes is a huge hit from Gunfire Games, with over 38,600 reviews on Steam being 85% positive. The game features fantastic and fresh gameplay through a world-resetting mechanic that swaps out bosses and level paths every time. The sequel looks to not only improve upon the graphics but the combat as well.
A deeper dive was shown during Summer Game Fest 2023. However, one question that is on many players’ minds was if the game is going to be launching on Xbox Game Pass. It’s a fantastic idea to have the game launch on the service because it will introduce new players to the series.
Is Remnant 2 Heading To Xbox Game Pass?
Unfortunately, it seems as though Remnant 2 might not be heading to Game Pass at launch. According to the Xbox official website, the game is not in the first wave of games coming in July 2023. However, this is only the first wave and the release timeline of games goes until July 18. There is a possibility of Remnant 2 releasing in a second wave of July Game Pass games as it does not release until late July.
It’s odd to see Remnant 2 not on the list currently because having it included in a deal on the Game Pass would greatly benefit both Gunfire Games and Microsoft. Game pass players would be able to experience the game for free and help grow the player base. If the game is not included on launch there is still potential for it to release on Game Pass at a later date.
Remnant 2 is releasing on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
It is releasing on July 25, 2023, for Standard and Deluxe Edition owners. It releases on July 21, 2023, for Ultimate Edition owners through early access.
