SXSW Sydney 2023 has announced two new surprise guests will attend the event, including Troy Baker and Anjali Bhimani.
This is a huge announcement if you’re planning to attend the event. Both Troy Baker and Anjali Bhimani will only be at the SXSW Sydney 2023 Opening Night performing songs from their latest game by Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical.
Who is Attending SXSW Sydney 2023?
SXSW Sydney 2023 is heading to Sydney for the first time and some massive names in gaming entertainment are joining in on the fun. The festival has many offerings ranging from musical performances to film screenings and even events concerning the games and tech industries. Now, there has been an announcement of two late surprises for the event.
The first attendee is multi-talented performer Anjali Bhimani, known for lending her voice as both Symmetra in Overwatch and Rampart from Apex Legends. Bhimani has credits in some of the biggest titles in the industry, including playing Auntie Ruby in Ms. Marvel, and several roles on the hit D&D show, Critical Role. The actress will be part of the opening night of gaming festivities for SXSW Sydney on October 17, 2023, alongside one of her Stray Gods co-stars
Troy Baker, the acclaimed voice actor and musician is also going to be attending SXSW Sydney along with Anjali Bhimani. Baker is best known for his role as Joel Miller in the award-winning The Last of Us game series as well as Booker DeWitt in Bioshock Infinite. Both Bhimani and Baker are going to be performing different parts from Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical, a roleplaying musical adventure game in which they both co-star.
When is the SXSW Sydney 2023 Games Festival?
SXSW Sydney Games Festival is taking place from Wednesday, October 18 – Sunday, October 22, 2023. However, the festival opening night performances by Troy Baker and Anjali Bhimani will be happening on Tuesday, October 17, at the opening night event.
