If you want to get your hands on Tekken 8 and dive into the story, you can do so with the demo now being available on PlayStation 5.
The demo will also come to Xbox Series X|S and PC on December 21, 2023, so it’s not long before the other platforms can get in on the action. Here is what you can expect from the Tekken 8 demo.
What Can You Expect in The Tekken 8 Demo?
The Tekken 8Â demo allows players to get their hands on several modes before the game launches on January 26, 2024. The demo features the following offline content:
- Story: “The Dark Awakens” Chapter 1
- Arcade Quest Chapter 1 (content is adjusted for the demo version)
- Super Ghost Battle
- Versus Mode: Featuring Jin, Kazuya, Paul, and Nina as playable characters. The available stages are Urban Square (Evening), Yakushima and Sanctum
- Gallery: Providing highlighted cutscenes from Tekken to Tekken 7
Unfortunately, save data from the demo will not be transferred to the final game.
New Tekken 8 Story Trailer
Furthermore, the release of the Tekken 8 demo came alongside a new Story trailer.
Following Heihachi’s defeat, global chaos ensues as Kazuya unleashes mayhem through his G Corporation. Jin Kazama, Heihachi’s son and wielder of the Devil Gene, emerges as the sole force capable of putting an end to Kazuya’s rampage. “The Dark Awakens” narrates this monumental battle through dynamic cutscenes and seamlessly transitions between sequences and intense combat. When is the Tekken 8 Release Date?
Tekken 8Â will launch on January 26, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game will use the latest generation of consoles to maximize the capabilities of the game, so it won’t be coming to PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.
