Sony Leaks Stellar Blade Demo Before Patching to Stop People Playing It

Sony has continued to prove that they are their own worst enemy by releasing the Stellar Blade demo on the PlayStation Store before swiftly taking it down.

Stellar Blade is due to come out on April 26, 2024, and usually, demos only release a few weeks before a game’s launch. However, due to this leak, many players were fortunate enough to play the game more than six weeks early. This resulted in many managing to finish the Stellar Blade demo before it was removed from the store.

Can You Still Play The Demo?

Unfortunately, Sony was quick to remove the Stellar Blade Demo from the PlayStation Store and has since updated the demo’s license, meaning that if you were connected to the internet, you won’t be able to boot the game up again.

The demo was only available for roughly 25 minutes, as reported by Wario64, before being patched and removed from the store entirely. However, many people still managed to play the Stellar Blade demo before it was sealed shut, and they revealed that the demo features the first hour of the game.

Does Progress From The Demo Carry Over?

Progress from the Stellar Blade demo will carry over to the full game at launch. This was confirmed in the leak and by various people who managed to play the demo. While you can’t play it anymore, we expect an official launch date for the demo to be announced soon.
