If you were hoping to grab a controller and get mauled by cannibals in Sons of the Forest on PS4 and PS5, you might be a little disappointed.
Sons of the Forest took the survival crafting world by storm when it was released into Early Access. Of course, with hype building, PlayStation players wanted in on the action. Now that the game is finally out of Early Access, you may be wondering if it will make its way to PlayStation any time soon. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like any time soon.
Is Sons of the Forest Coming to PS4 & PS5?
No, Sons of the Forest is not coming to either PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5. It is a PC exclusive, and the developer has announced no plans to port it to consoles. This is also true on Xbox, as Sons of the Forest will not be ported there either. Of course, it is possible that a PlayStation version of Sons of the Forest will be announced in the future. However, no official plans have been announced yet.
It’s worth noting that the original game, The Forest, did get ported to PlayStation 4 and is subsequently playable on PS5. So, it is very likely that at some point, Sons of the Forest will make its way to PS4 and PS5. Of course, it’s worth considering that Sons of the Forest has only just come out of Early Access. The game hasn’t been ported to PS5 or PS4 yet because the platform doesn’t allow Early Access games.
Unfortunately, there is no release date for Sons of the Forest on PS5 or PS4. If it is coming to consoles, then it will likely be during Q4 2024 or potentially Q1 2025.
