SEGA and Rovio have announced a massive crossover event with Sonic the Hedgehog and Angry Birds, bringing the two beloved franchises together.
This mobile crossover event marks the first of its kind since Rovio joined SEGA last year. Due to their two franchises, Sonic the Hedgehog and Angry Birds, having a significant global mobile presence, this crossover has happened to showcase both franchise’s versatility and to introduce new players to each game. Both companies want players to have a valuable experience with this limited mobile crossover event.
Which Games Are Included in the Sonic and Angry Birds Mobile Crossover?
Angry Birds 2, Angry Birds Dream Blast, Angry Birds Friends, Sonic Forces, and Sonic Dash are all included in the Sonic and Angry Birds crossover. These are all mobile games, so they’re only available to download on the App Store and Google Play. The mobile crossover event will feature new playable characters, collectibles, limited-time events, and exclusive rewards.
Angry Birds 2 will feature a “Sonic Friends” hat event and a themed “You’re Too Slow” adventure. A speedy Sonic Flash race event will be included in Angry Birds Dream Blast, and Angry Birds Friends will also feature an exciting Sonic tournament. Sonic Forces will host a limited-time event for Angry Birds, and Sonic Dash will feature the iconic Red and Chuck birds as playable characters. There is much to look forward to in whichever game players decide to explore.
It should be noted that this event will bring a brand-new storyline to bridge these two franchises together. This new story features a portal being summoned that connects the two worlds when a plan to steal the Angry Birds’ eggs goes wrong. Sonic and Red must team up with all their friends and venture to each world to defeat Dr. Eggman, his Badniks, and the infamous mischievous pigs.
When Does the Mobile Crossover Event End?
The Sonic and Angry Birds crossover mobile event begins on March 14, 2024, and finishes on March 21, 2024. This will be a weeklong event, and there is currently no specified time for when the event will end. Those interested will need to hop on to one of the five games included in this mobile crossover event to experience the worlds colliding between Sonic the Hedgehog and Angry Birds.
