RoboCop: Rogue City releases in just a few days, but when can fans expect the review embargo to lift?
RoboCop: Rogue City is the latest movie-based title from Teycon that brings back the legendary sci-fi icon, RoboCop. It is launching in just a few days, and understandably, fans of the original films are ecstatic. However, for those still on the fence, reviews will hopefully clear up any doubts. Below, we explain exactly when the review embargo for RoboCop: Rogue City will drop so you know whether you should pre-order it or not.
When Does the RoboCop: Rogue City Review Embargo Drop?
The RoboCop: Rogue City review embargo is expected to drop on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 9 am ET, 6 am PT, or 2 pm BST. This is a day before the game’s release date on Thursday, November 2, 2023. Unfortunately, this means that if you were planning on waiting for reviews before pre-ordering the game, you’ll only have a short window of time.
It’s important to note that the review embargo date has not been officially confirmed by either developer Teyon or publisher Nacon. Rather, it is based on the review embargo date for the developer’s previous game, Terminator: Resistance. That game’s reviews dropped on November 14, 2019, with the release date being November 15. Additionally, it’s not uncommon for embargo dates to be the day before, as the same happened with most double-A and triple-A games.
Of course, previews for RoboCop: Rogue City are available right now. IGN, ScreenRant, and more all have previews out for the extended demo that launched during the October Steam Next Fest. If you’re interested in getting opinions on the game before the full reviews drop, then these previews are your best option.
