Pals sleeping on each other in Palworld

Palworld: Do Pals Evolve?

If you’ve been wondering whether it’s possible to evolve your Pals into mightier versions in Palworld, don’t worry. We’ve got you covered.

It makes sense that the meek, gun-wielding Lamball Pals would evolve into something called a Ramball. After all, while Palworld certainly sets itself apart from Pokemon, it borrows enough that it wouldn’t be surprising to see Pal evolutions. However, while there is a way to create stronger Pals in Palworld, it’s not quite as simple as evolving a Pal. Below, we explain how evolution works in Palworld and how to get stronger Pals.

Do Pals Evolve in Palworld?

No, Pals do not evolve in Palworld like Pokemon. Instead, you can breed new Pals, which will then inherit their type and traits from their parent Pals. This is a somewhat random process that you have little control over beyond which Pals breed together. The rarer the Pals, the stronger the new Pal will be. Of course, breeding a new Pal doesn’t get rid of the parent Pals. So, you can breed as much as you like without risking losing your rare Pals in the process.

Additionally, while Pokemon are limited to a number of evolutions, Pals can breed as much as you like. This essentially means you can chain breed, making two Pals create a new one that then goes on to breed a fourth Pal, and so on and so forth. You can, in theory, create the ultimate Pal by crossbreeding your strongest ones. These are known as Fusion Pals, which are unique Pals created via breeding.

Unfortunately, if you were hoping that Pals would have unique evolutions, you’re out of luck. Beyond the breeding process, Pals will remain the exact same no matter how much you use them. However, if you’re willing to invest in the breeding process, you can create unique and powerful Pals to use in battle. That’s absolutely everything you need to know about evolution in Palworld.
