If you’ve been playing Nightingale, then you’ve likely run into an issue affecting every player: how do you split stacks? While this is usually a fairly simple task in a survival game, it is slightly more confusing here. Fortunately, below, we’ve explained exactly how to split stacks so you don’t have to pull any more hair out wondering.

How to Split Stacks of Items in Nightingale

You can only split stacks of items inside of storage and campfire menus. You’ll need to open up the campfire or a chest and then split the stacks of items in that menu. Unfortunately, you cannot split stacks of items inside of your inventory. Additionally, you can split stacks by extracting a certain amount of an item out of your inventory and then picking it back up. Finally, you can choose how much to give to a person you have recruited, which, in essence, splits a stack.

However, it should be noted that only items that can be used in the campfire menu can be split there. You’ll need to craft a chest and put it in your residence in order to split any stack you want. To split a stack, you’ll need to grab an item from your inventory and attempt to drag it to the new menu. You should see the option pop up then.
