With the game’s release date drawing near and an increasing number of fans eager to explore the new era of Mortal Kombat, there is a growing anticipation for information on when they can start playing.
When Does Mortal Kombat 1 Release?
Mortal Kombat 1 will launch on September 19, 2023, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
The game will unlock at midnight for those who are purchasing the standard edition of the game. However, the case is different for those who own the Premium and Kollector’s Editions.
Can You Play Mortal Kombat 1 Early?
Players who are interested in delving into the Mortal Kombat 1 world ahead of the standard release date have the option to acquire an upgraded edition of the game, be it the Premium or Kollector’s edition. As previously disclosed, those who purchase either of these versions gain up to five days of early access to the game, beginning on September 14, 2023. According to the timer on PlayStation 5, the unlock time for early access is as follows:
- 10 am, September 14 – Pacific Standard Time (PST)
- 1 pm, September 14 – Eastern Standard Time (EST)
- 6 pm, September 14 – British Summer Time (BST)
- 3 am, September 15 – Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)
As always, these times are subject to change as the date for release gets closer. Although going off of playable time on PlayStation 5, it seems likely that these will be the official times for Mortal Kombat 1‘s release.
