If you’ve seen the slot for Boosters in Helldivers 2 and are wondering what they are, don’t worry. Not only are they incredibly helpful, but they’re also surprisingly easy to get.
Boosters are a unique item in Helldivers 2 that apply a buff to all members of your party. This buff can be as simple as giving you full ammo when you start a match or more complex, such as increasing injury resistance. You can only equip one Booster per player, but doing so will drastically increase your chances of survival. You’ll want to get your hands on Boosters as soon as possible, but doing so may be a little complicated for some. Fortunately, we’re here to help you out.
How to Unlock Boosters in Helldivers 2
The only way to get Boosters in Helldivers 2 is to purchase them from the Helldivers Mobilize! Warbond battle pass in the Acquisitions Center using medals. There are currently 7 Boosters, all of which are exclusive to the battle passes. You cannot unlock Boosters by completing Operations or through exploring mission locations. Players access the Acquisitions Center by either holding down Square (PlayStation) or selecting it on PC when on your ship. Below is a list of every Booster currently in the game and how to unlock it:
- Hellpod Space Optimisation (Page 3 – 15 Medals): Every player starts the match with a full stock of ammunition, grenades, and stims
- Vitality Enhancement (Page 4 – 20 Medals): Increases the injury resistance of all players
- UAV Recon Booster (Page 6 – 40 Medals): Increases the effectiveness of radars
- Stamina Enhancement (Page 7 – 75 Medals): Increases the amount of stamina and recovery time for all players
- Muscle Enhancement (Page 9 – 70 Medals): Makes mobility and traversing across difficult terrain easier
- Increased Reinforcement Budget (Page 10 – 150 Medals): Increases the number of reinforcements you start with
- Flexible Reinforcement Budget (Page 3 of the Steeled Veterans battle pass – 75 Medals): Reinforcements spawn quicker
Once you’ve unlocked a Booster, you can equip it in your loadout in the hexagonal slot. Booster effects do not stack, so multiple players should not equip the same Booster.
