New leaks have indicated that PlayStation-exclusive God of War Ragnarok will be coming to PC in 2025.
God of War Ragnarok released to critical acclaim back in 2022 and was nominated for Game of the Year. It ended up being a significant selling point of the PlayStation 5. Naturally, considering its success, PC players have also wanted to experience the action-packed sequel to 2018’s God of War. Well, according to a new leak, it seems that God of War Ragnarok will be the next title from PlayStation to jump over to PC.
When is God of War Ragnarok Heading to PC?
God of War Ragnarok will be released on PC in Q1 of 2025, sometime between January and April. This is according to a leak from Silknight on X. When asked if there would be anything God of War related this year, they replied, “Perhaps a PC version, but not until the first quarter of 2025.” While they don’t specify exactly when in Q1, it gives fans an indication of when to expect a PC port. Of course, as with all leaks, we encourage you to take this with a grain of salt.
However, considering that 2018’s God of War is currently available on Steam, it doesn’t sound unreasonable to expect the sequel to appear on the platform soon. Additionally, 2018’s God of War was released on Steam to great acclaim, garnering a 96% positive rating from 88,000 reviews. With the success of Helldivers 2 on PC, it’s clear Sony regards it as a good avenue for its games.
In fact, many PlayStation titles have recently been ported to PC. Most notably, God of War, Spider-Man, and Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us have been ported to the platform. While we’re yet to see Sony strike up a relationship this good with Xbox, it’s always great to see PlayStation games be enjoyed by as many people as possible. Although there is no official word yet on the PC port, it will likely be announced in the next few months, especially if this leak is accurate.
