Warzone 2 is a free-to-play battle royale video game developed by Infinity Ward and Raven Software for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It is a sequel to 2020's Call of Duty: Warzone. The game is a part of 2022's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 but does not require purchase of the parent title. It was introduced during Season 1 of Modern Warfare 2. The game features cross-platform play and a new extraction mode titled DMZ.
Warzone 2 features a new map called Al Mazrah, which is set in the Middle East. The map is said to be larger than Verdansk, the map from the original Warzone, and features a variety of different environments, including deserts, cities, and forests. Warzone 2 also includes DMZ, which is a PvEvP mode that draws similarities to Escape from Tarkov. In DMZ, players will need to scavenge for weapons and gear while fighting off AI enemies and other players.
Warzone 2 currently also features another map titled Ashika Island, and is rumoured to be introducing new map in its Season 4 update.
