Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: When Is it Coming to PC?

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be released on PC eventually, but when exactly can fans expect it to drop? Here’s what you need to know.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the second game in the Final Fantasy VII Remake series and is luckily coming out on PC as well as PlayStation 5. However, much like most Final Fantasy games, Rebirth will be a PS5 exclusive for a few months. Fortunately, that will end sooner than you’d think, which begs the question: when is the PC release date? Below, we explain everything you need to know.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Release Date

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will likely be released on PC around Wednesday, May 29, 2024. This is when the PlayStation 5 exclusivity deal ends, and the game is free to be released on other platforms. Of course, this isn’t a guaranteed release date. Final Fantasy VII Remake was released on PC a year and a half after the release of the PlayStation 4 version and just a few months after the PS5 version.

It is possible that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will follow the same release date pattern. If that is the case, then it will drop around February 29, 2025. It is worth noting that Naoki Yoshida, the producer of Final Fantasy XVI, previously noted that a port to PC for FFXVI would not “come out in half a year.” Of course, that isn’t indicative of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’s situation, but it’s worth considering. We’ll make sure to update this article when an official PC release date is given.
