Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: Is There a Demo?

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is coming out in just a few weeks, sparking rumors that a demo is on its way. Fortunately, fans may be in luck.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is one of the most hotly anticipated JRPGs, if not games, of the year. Of course, fans want to try it out as soon as possible, and those unfamiliar with the series likely want to see if it’s for them. Naturally, the best way to do this would be with a demo. Considering Square Enix’s track record for releasing large demos for their games, it’s no surprise that fans are expecting one for the latest Final Fantasy. Fortunately, it appears one is on the way.

Will There Be A Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo?

Yes, there is a Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo. It is available to download right now and includes the Nibelheim episode in which you play as either Cloud or Sephiroth before the events of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Additionally, an open-world segment where you can explore a part of the Junon region is being added before February 29. You can watch the trailer for the demo below:

The progress you make during the prologue section will carry over, allowing you to skip this section in the full game. However, your progress in the Junon section will not carry over, as it is a taster of the open-world gameplay as opposed to a story-focused segment. Additionally, the demo is a whopping 48.6GB, so you’ll need to free up some space to download it. Of course, this pales in comparison to the full size of the game, which comes in at roughly 150GB, which is on two discs if you’re playing physically.

That’s everything you need to know about the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo. For more guides just like this one, be sure to check out our Guide Hub.
