If you’re searching for Rodge in the Dragon’s Dogma 2 quest, Prey for the Pack, and are worried you’re running out of time, relax. We’ve got you covered.
Players can get the Prey for the Pack side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2 by speaking to Morris in his Apothecary in Checkpoint Rest Town. He will inform you that his grandson, Rodge, has been captured by wolves. Of course, being the Arisen, that means its up to you to save him. However, this is a timed mission, and if you fail, Rodge will die, and you’ll get fewer rewards. So, finding out his location as quickly as possible is key. Fortunately, that’s where we come in.
How to Find Rodge in Dragon’s Dogma 2
To find Rodge in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you must first speak to the guard Rikhard in the Checkpoint Rest Town, near where you arrived by Ox Cart. He will tell you to go to Putrid Cave, directly East of Checkpoint Rest Town. This is where Rodge is located. Head to the cave, kill the wolves, and then go down the grass-covered slope into the second cave. Rodge will appear once you’ve killed the wolves inside this cave.
To make the steps even easier, we’ve broken them down below:
- Get the quest in Checkpoint Rest Town
- Head to the main square
- Speak to Rikhard, the guard
- Head to Putrid Cave
- This will be marked on your map once you speak to Rikhard and can be seen on the map below
- Kill the wolves inside the cave
- Head down the slope into the second cave
- Kill the wolves inside that cave
- Rodge will appear
- Head back to Morris’ Apocothery with Rodge following you
You can talk to other citizens in Checkpoint Rest Town to get a vague idea of where Rodge is located. Alsa will tell you about flowers blooming at night, which, if you follow, will lead you to Rodge. Additionally, Morris will tell you that Rodge planted seeds in a flowerbed near town, and Jacini will tell you the location of that flowerbed, which happens to be Putrid Cave. However, by far, the quickest way to find Rodge is to talk to Rikhard.
Once you and Rodge have arrived safely back at Morris’ Apothecary, you will be rewarded with 11,000 gold, 2 Miracle Roberants, and 4000XP. However, if you fail to save Rodge and only manage to get the Scrap of Cloth, then you’ll get 8000 gold and 4000XP. Either way, it’s worth heading back to Morris’ Apothecary to get your reward.
