What is Trasmog or Transmogrification?

Transmogrification — Transmog, for short — is a game mechanic that has been present in games for many years. The feature allows players to alter the design of their character’s outfit without changing the stats that come with the armor being changed.

For example, if you wanted Kratos in God of War: Ragnarok to have the armor appearance of a great warrior but with stats of an armor set that boosts magic damage, transmog allows for that.

Is Transmog in Remnant 2?

So far, there has been no definitive answer from Gunfire Games if transmogrification has made its way into the game. However, we can’t simply assume the feature won’t be in the game. Remnant 2 will most likely have a transmog system because its predecessor, Remnant: From The Ashes, already has one.

An armor vendor was introduced in the first expansion, Swamps of Corsus. It gave players access to purchase new armor variants that would change their look. It’s not a complete transmog system like other games, but it allows players to change their armor all the same.

Many fanbases in other games have been very vocal about wanting transmog in their games and the Remnant community is no different.
