Content Warning is flying up the charts on Steam, hitting over 200k concurrent players and updating the game in the first 48 hours of it being available.
The game feels similar to Lethal Company, where players must team up with up to 4 friends, face monsters, and earn money. However, in Content Warning, you must film everything on your camera and upload it to SpookTube to go mega viral and earn money. If you haven’t played it, then you absolutely should, as over 6 million people managed to nab the game when it was free in the first 24 hours. Fortunately, the developers behind Content Warning plan to give it plenty of love and have already added new content to the game.
What New Content is Available in Content Warning?
Content Warning added two new Gadget items (Reporter Mic and Sound Player), a Party Popper misc item, and removed the Music tab in the latest update.
The Reporter Mic is a new item in Content Warning that improves the sound quality of your videos. It differs slightly from the Boom Mic, where it only mostly enhances the audio of the user holding the mic. You can turn the Reporter Mic the other way to pick up audio away from you, but it doesn’t provide the same reach as the Boom Mic.
The Sound Player is also a huge addition to the game as it allows players to utilize up to 21 different sounds in their videos. It also doesn’t have a battery life option, so you can play the sounds as much as your heart desires. Finally, the Party Popper misc item has replaced what was previously titled the Music tab. It seems as if this is just a fun item to use with friends, as it’s only $5, but we will update our Views Guide if we feel it provides some extra moolah.
Additional Updates
There are some additional updates to Content Warning as well. Plus, the developers have acknowledged that they are continuously working on bug fixes. Here is a list of what else is new:
- Added a projector in the garden
- Adjusted prices of emotes
- Added inverted mouse setting
- Fixed disk being able to be duplicated if you picked it up at the same time
- Decreased hard drive usage for recordings
