Call of Duty: MW3 has been officially revealed as per the Shadow Seige reveal event in Warzone. If you are interested in preordering the game, you can expect plenty of rewards and bonuses coming your way.
Thankfully, there is nothing out of the ordinary, and most of the additional content revolves around accessing aspects earlier or receiving cosmetic bonuses. Here is everything you need to know about the different editions, so you can determine what you want to buy.

Modern Warfare 3: Vault Edition
The Modern Warfare 3: Vault Edition is the premium option, available for US$99.99 / AU$$159.95. In addition to the full game, the Vault Edition contains the following:
- Campaign Early Access (Preorder Benefit)
- Open Beta Early Access (Preorder Benefit)
- Soap Operator Pack (Preorder Benefit)
- Nemesis Operator Pack
- Two-Weapon Vaults
- Every FATE Weapon Vault represents a version of a Modern Warfare 3 weapon. There are two options: red and black (colours of the Konni Group) and blue and silver (colours of Task Force 141).
- Available to test out during the Open Beta
- Season 1 BlackCell Battle Pass
- Standard Battle Pass
- BlackCell Sector which includes a 1,100 CP Bonus and additional cosmetic content
- 50 Battle Pass Tier Skips
Modern Warfare 3: Standard Edition
The Standard Edition for Modern Warfare 3 is the base edition of the game and can be picked up for US$69.99 / AU$109.95. You can expect the following benefits:
- Base game
- Campaign Early Access (Preorder Benefit)
- Open Beta Early Access (Preorder Benefit)
- Soap Operator Pack (Preorder Benefit)
All digital editions are Cross Generation, so purchasing the game on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will also give players the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions.
Additional Intel: If you pre-order on Battle.net, you will have the opportunity to donate to the Call of Duty Endowment (if your purchase is within the U.S.). 100% of your donation, minus transaction fees, funds the placement of veterans into great jobs.
Modern Warfare 3: Physical Edition
Players can preorder a Physical Edition from their preferred gaming retailer now. The Vault Edition is a digital-only release, so only the Standard Edition will be available for purchase.
There are only Physical Editions for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One (Physical Edition Cross-Gen Bundle). There is no Physical Edition for PC.
MW3 Preorder Bonuses
Soap Operator Pack
The Soap Operator Pack is available as a pre-order or pre-purchase of any Digital or Vault Edition of Modern Warfare 3. It includes the “Masked Soap” and “Unmasked Soap” skins, as well as the “Shadow Siege” weapon blueprint. These can be used in Modern Warfare 2, Warzone, and Modern Warfare 3 at release.
Early Campaign Access
Any digital preorder will allow early access to the campaign. Players can start playing the campaign one week earlier on November 3, 2023. There are plenty of new options available in the MW3 campaign, and you can check out all the changes here.
MW3 Multiplayer Beta Access
The Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer Open Beta is available for everyone, regardless of if you preorder the game or not. However, any preorder edition will give players early access to the Open Beta. There are multiple ways to play the Open Beta:
- The Early Access Open Beta period (for preorder customers).
- The Free Access Open Beta period (for everyone).
The Open Beta is free and hosted over two consecutive playable weekends. For Digital Edition preorder players, there is no need for a beta code as you will automatically have access to the open beta.
