Granblue Fantasy: Relink follows the series’ tradition of featuring a diverse and unique roster of characters. Much like the fighting games before it, players can expect to control several famous faces from the anime, manga, and mobile game. Of course, with so many characters for Cygames to choose from, it’s no wonder fans are curious as to who made the cut. Fortunately, not only are there a lot of fan favorites, but there’s also an entirely new character to meet. Below, we explain how many playable characters there are in the game and who they are.

How Many Playable Characters in Granblue Fantasy: Relink
There are 20 playable characters in Granblue Fantasy: Relink, including the protagonists and their allies. This is 5 less than Granblue Fantasy Versus and 8 less than Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising. Of course, notably, Granblue Fantasy Versus launched with just 12 characters, adding an additional 13 across DLC. It is very likely that Granblue Fantasy: Relink will also receive DLC characters, as there is an eye-watering amount that didn’t make the cut. However, none have been announced thus far.
Gran/Djeeta
Gran and Djeeta are considered the Main Characters of Granblue Fantasy: Rising. You’ll pick either one at the start of the game before bumping into Katalina and Lyria. There, you risk your life to save the mysterious duo before finding yourself leading a ragtag crew across the skies on a thrilling adventure.
Katalina
Once a loyal knight of the Erste Empire, she eventually helped Lyria, a girl with mysterious powers, to escape their clutches. Together, they run away, with Katalina swearing to protect Lyria at all costs. After reaching the forests of Zinkenstill, they encounter Gran/Djeeta.
Rackam
Rackam is the helmsman of the Grandcypher, and, as a result, an integral part of your crew. His flying skills are only outmatched by his abilities with his rifle, making him a truly formidable companion.
Io
Io may be small, but her prowess with magic makes her stand tall in battle. She’s a truly terrific mage and one who vows to help Gran/Djeeta on their journey while raising the spirits of all those around her.
Eugen
Eugen is a wisened soldier with a knack for blasting foes with his gun. Despite his deep-seated regrets, he continues to soldier on in the hopes of helping those in need of his skills.
Rosetta
Rosetta is a mysterious person, never quite letting on her true feelings. She’s constantly wrapped up in both the events of her past and her current adventure.
Rolan
Rolan is a vicar of a small church and a true gentleman. When he’s not tending to his people’s needs, he’s acting as a handyman, fixing anything big or small. He joins Gran/Djeeta’s crew, although perhaps more for his own personal reasons than he’s letting him. Rolan is an entirely new character in the Granblue Fantasy franchise, with Relink being his first appearance.
Lancelot
Lancelot is the Captain of the knightly Order of the White Dragons, a title he earned at a young age. Despite his youth, he has garnered the respect of his men for his bravery and skill with his dual blades. His leadership qualities and charm are sure to help you on your quest.
Vane
Vane is the first officer in the Order of the White Dragons, but above all else, he is a loyal friend. He’d do anything for his comrades and his country, putting everything into protecting those he loves.
Percival
Percival is the Lord of Flames, an ambitious young man with dreams of creating a world without war, where everyone can live in harmony. He’s searching for like-minded people to help him with this endeavour, and you’re in his sights.
Siegfried
Despite his loyalty to his king and country, Siegfried was once seen as a traitor. Nevertheless, he saved his country and proved his worth. Now, he strives to rebuild his reputation and prove his loyalty to others.
Charlotta
As the captain of an order of holy knights, Charlotta pledges to rid the world of evil. She does this with her sword, a weapon of immense power that also happens to be as tall as she is. Her greatest concern is her height, but she never lets it get in the way of her mission.
Yodarha
Once a world-class swordfighter, Yodarha retired and became a fisherman. While he’s an expert angler, there is perhaps a little longing for the life of a swordsman still lingering within.
Narmaya
Narmaya is a dedicated swordswoman with a dogmatic determination to become the very best. She proves her worth through her strength and mastery of her blade and hopes to use it to aid your quest.
Zeta
Zeta is a fearless warrior bound by contract to her spear, known as the Spear of Arvess. It imbues her with immense power, helping her and the organization she’s a part of, named the Society, to hunt deadly primal beasts.
Vaserage
Much like Zeta, Vaserage is a member of the Society and a formidable beast hunter. His hulking frame and sheer physical might are only beaten by his deadly scythe, the Great Scythe Grynoth, to which he is bound by contract.
Ferry
Ferry is a ghost who traverses the world looking to help her fellow spirits. She died a long time ago and now finds herself settled on an island shrouded in mist.
Ghandagoza
Ghandagoza has one goal: becoming the world’s mightiest brawler. To accomplish this, he created his own fighting style named the Eternal Rage style. Since then, he has slain many beasts and defeated great evil, and now he hopes to help you with his mighty fists.
Cagliostro
Caliostro is an immortal being and the creator of alchemy in the Sky Realm. She manages to continue her studies and education of others by switching out her body every so often.
