Granblue Fantasy: Relink Demo: Length, What’s Included & Release Date

Players wanting to jump into the aerial world of Granblue Fantasy: Relink will get the chance to do so, with a demo coming in January.

Granblue: Fantasy Relink will launch on January 31, 2024. For those who are eager for the full game or unsure if it will live up to their expectations, there is a demo arriving prior to the release. This is a common practice, especially with lengthy JRPGs, as it gives fans a chance to try before they buy. Below, we’ve outlined everything we know about the demo, including its length, release date, and contents.

Players can expect a few hours of playtime with the Granblue: Fantasy Relink PlayStation demo. Based on the amount of content available in the demo, we suspect players will average between 3 and 5 hours of playtime altogether. While this figure is not official, and Cygames has made no statement, many of the previews for the game suggest it will be that long.

There are three different game modes and 11 playable characters that people can experience throughout the Granblue Fantasy: Relink demo. Here is everything included in the game’s demo:

  • Tutorial: Players can experience the tutorial level that teaches them the Granblue Fantasy: Relink basics and mechanics.
  • Main Story: A few chapters from the game’s narrative campaign are available for players to experience.
  • Quests: The demo will include a multiplayer aspect, known as Quests, where players can team up with up to three other players online to complete side missions.
  • 11 Playable Characters: The demo features over 11 characters in the game’s roster, with even more included in the full game at launch.

None of the progress you make in the demo will carry over. However, you will earn rewards that can be unlocked in the full game by completing the demo. It’s worth noting that the content present in the demo is subject to change for the full release. Additionally, there will not be a demo on Steam at all. It is exclusive to the PlayStation 4 and 5 version of the game.

The demo will be released on Friday, January 12, 2024, at midnight local time for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This was confirmed during an official livestream hosted by Cygames on January 11, 2024. Technically, you can change your region to Japan or New Zealand to access the game early, as it is already out there. However, this is quite a complicated process on PlayStation and isn’t encouraged.

That is everything we know about the Granblue Fantasy: Relink demo and what to expect. Anyone curious to learn more can head to the Game Hub for the upcoming ARPG.
