It was officially announced two months ago that Marvel Rivals is coming to consoles, specifically PlayStation and Xbox. However, what wasn’t made clear was whether it would be coming to last-gen consoles. Fortunately, we now have the answer. Unfortunately, those who were hoping to play on PS4 are out of luck.
Is Marvel Rivals On PS4?
No, Marvel Rivals is not available on the PS4. Unfortunately, it is a next-gen exclusive, meaning those on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will not be able to access it. This has been confirmed by Marvel Rival’s PlayStation store page, which lists it as just a PS5 version. Additionally, the game’s Beta was only available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. It skipped last-gen consoles entirely.
This may not come as much of a surprise to many, especially considering that most modern games are skipping PS4 and Xbox One. Of course, there are exceptions, including the recent The First Descendant. However, in the case of Marvel Rivals, a last-gen port is out of the question, and fans shouldn’t expect to see it on PS4 in the future.
Of course, it’s worth noting that Marvel Rivals will be completely free on PC via Steam. So, if you happen to have a laptop or PC lying around, it might be worth trying it on there.
