Does The First Descendant Have Crossplay?

Yes, The First Descendant has full crossplay functionality across all platforms, including PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. Both next-gen and last-gen consoles will be able to play together. Crossplay will be enabled by default, and it’s recommended players looking to experience the game with friends or other players keep it enabled.

Crossplay was confirmed by producer Beom-jun Lee in an interview with God Is a Geek. The game later had a Crossplay Open Beta, which allowed everyone to experience the game together. So, if your friend is on Xbox and you’re on PlayStation, don’t worry. You’ll still be able to play The First Descendant together.

Does The First Descendant Have Cross-Progression?

Yes, The First Descendant does have cross-progression and cross-save. You’ll be able to carry over any progression you’ve made from one platform to another by simply logging into the same account. You can do this at any time. Cross-Progression was also confirmed by Lee in that same interview. He stated, “You can play freely on any platform with shared progression.”

All of your characters, in-game currency, weapons, and absolutely everything else will carry over. So, you don’t need to worry about losing any progress if you decide to suddenly switch consoles.
