With the new Fortnite collab sailing in July, players can fight as iconic Pirates of the Caribbean characters using various pirate-themed weapons.
Fortnite is continuing to expand its collaboration roster. Recently, Samsung created its own island, which offered prizes for players to win. Now, a new mashup involving the iconic Disney Pirate franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean, is coming in July. Various characters will be available to buy, and some themed weapons will also be returning, with the Flint-Knock Pistol already being teased to return. Below is everything we know so far about the Pirates of the Caribbean collaboration in Fortnite.
When is the Pirates of the Caribbean Collab Launching in Fortnite?
Players can expect the Pirates of the Caribbean collab to arrive in Fortnite on Friday, July 19, 2024. Although the first details were leaked through X (formerly known as Twitter), the official confirmation comes from the official Fortnite Status X account. The account shared that a purchasable event pass is going to be launched with the event. There are not many details on the specific launch times for the event.
What is Coming with the Pirates of the Caribbean Collaboration in Fortnite?
Various character skins from Pirates of the Caribbean and era-themed weapons will be coming to Fortnite. Additionally, an event pass called the Cursed Sails Pass is going to be available to purchase for 1,000 V-Bucks.
New Character Cosmetics
Regarding character skins, five are available for players to purchase, with two of them being included in the Cursed Sails Pass. The following are all of the character cosmetics:
- Jack Sparrow (Cursed Sails Pass)
- Cursed Jack Sparrow (Cursed Sails Pass)
- Davy Jones
- Elizabeth Swann
- Captain Barbossa
It seems as though Will Turner is absent from the roster coming to Fortnite. Whether or not this changes remains to be seen. However, the present lineup is full of iconic characters to duke it out as in the game.





Pirate-Themed Weapons Coming to Fortnite
Players can equip pirate-themed weapons in the battle royale with the Pirates of the Caribbean collab. A tease from the official Fortnite X account reveals that the Flint-Knock Pistol is returning to the game. The image shows it as a piece of a treasure map, with three more spots to reveal. The Pirate Cannon is likely going to make a comeback, which was previously usable back in Season 8.
According to known Fortnite data miner AllyJax on X, a new Mythic item is coming with the Pirates of the Caribbean collab called Ship in a Bottle. The Mythic allows players to ride on a ship that spawns under them and destroy any structures in their path as they ride. The boat looks to resemble The Black Pearl. Regarding other weapons, we won’t know what to expect until we get closer to the crossover launch, as Epic Games will slowly be teasing more to come.
Cursed Sails Event Pass for Fortnite
Available to purchase for 1,000 V-Bucks, the Cursed Sails event pass unlocks various Pirates of the Caribbean cosmetics in Fortnite. The pass offers two cosmetic skins for Captain Jack Sparrow, Jack’s Ship Glider, Backblings, and much more. Additionally, players can earn various rewards through the Free Track of the Cursed Sails Event Pass. As mentioned, the event pass launches on the same day as the collaboration event.
