During the June 2024 Nintendo Direct, Nintendo revealed that a new Mario series adventure is coming. However, joining him is his iconic brother-in-green, Luigi. Mario & Luigi’s Brothership is shaping up to be a tropical journey for the brothers. Additionally, it is their first adventure since 2017’s Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions. The reveal showcased the release date and gameplay details that players will surely be excited about.
Mario & Luigi Brothership Sets Sail on Nintendo Switch in November
Mario & Luigi Brothership is heading to the Nintendo Switch on Thursday, November 7, 2024. Nintendo looks to bring more of the Mario & Luigi magic to a new title for players. The entry sees players embark on a sailing adventure abroad Shipshape Island (part ship and part boat). Sailing across the world of Concordia, experiencing biomes such as rainforests to busy cities. Mario and Luigi will be heading to different islands as they look to save them from the foes that plague them.
The game brings the turn-based combat that many fans love within the Mario series. However, there is a twist. Players not only control both brothers but use different unique attacks and traversal moves called Bros. Moves and Bros. Attacks. Whether climbing walls or attacking foes, different button inputs will appear that players must hit. By doing so, they can get to hidden or hard-to-reach areas or deal massive damage to enemies, depending on the situation. Additionally, the art style looks to be very interesting and pops out well with the 3D graphics. A combination that seems to be new for the series.
Mario & Luigi Brothership will require players to rely on the iconic team’s strong bond of brotherhood. As players haven’t experienced an adventure with the duo for many years, it is exciting to see a new entry with both coming out.
