The highly anticipated Nintendo Direct for this year is finally returning, and it’s not long until it airs. Here is what you need to know.
From official showcases to interesting leaks, this past week has given players a massive amount of games to get excited about. However, during the excitement, Nintendo was surprisingly silent. Now, after the registration went live for the Sydney Nintendo Live 2024, Nintendo has finally officially announced that Nintendo Direct is back. Luckily, it won’t be a long wait for eager fans.
When Is the Nintendo Direct?
This summer’s Nintendo Direct is scheduled to air on Thursday, June 18, 2024, at 7 am PST/10 pm EST/3 pm BST/12 am AEST (June 19). The event is expected to be live for around 40 minutes and will showcase games that will be coming from the company in the near future. Unfortunately, those curious to hear official information about the Nintendo Switch 2 will not find it during the showcase. Although Nintendo did mention it would be announced this fiscal year, there will be no mention of the upcoming successor during the stream.
Despite not hearing any Nintendo Switch 2 news this time around, fans will have a selection of upcoming games to get excited about. We will likely see more information on upcoming games, such as Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD and unannounced titles. However, thanks to the time chosen for the Nintendo Direct, most fans worldwide will be able to join in at appropriate times for the event.
