Wuthering Waves: How to Get & Use the Sensor Module

The Sensor Module is an incredibly helpful utility tool in Wuthering Waves that’s a little tricky to use. Here’s how you get and use it.

Players can use all kinds of utility tools to aid them in their Wuthering Waves journey. One such item is the Sensor Module, which you’ll need to use to complete certain missions. The main quest, Echoing Marche, requires you to use the Sensor Module to confirm a patrol route. However, if you’ve never used it before, you’ll have no idea what to do. Fortunately, we’ve broken down exactly how to use it below.

How to Use the Sensor Module in Wuthering Waves

To use the Sensor Module in Wuthering Waves, you must equip it by opening the menu wheel and switching to Utility. Then, select the Sensor Module and press T (PC), L1 + Triangle/Y (controller), or simply press it (Mobile) to open it. Once opened, you’ll need to follow the blue holograms to the next destination. This is the patrol you’ve been tasked with locating. Don’t worry if that all sounds confusing. We’ve broken it down into helpful steps below:

  • Open your menu wheel and select the Utility tab
    • On PC, hold Tab.
    • On Mobile, press hold the Utility button
    • On controller, hold left on the D-Pad, then press R1 to switch to Utility
  • Choose the Sensor Module (it looks like a giant eye)
  • Back out of the menu wheel and activate the Sensor Module
    • On PC, press T
    • On Mobile, press the Utility button
    • On controller, hold L1 and press Triangle/Y
  • Gatherable items, quest markers, puzzles, and more will now be highlighted.

Outside of the Echoing Marche quest, you can use the Sensor Module to highlight collectibles and more. It’s a handy tool, one you should fall back on every so often to ensure you don’t miss anything.
