With Wuthering Waves finally launching on PC, fans are wondering when the PS4 and PS5 versions are coming. Here’s what you need to know.
After a very long wait and two very fun closed betas, Wuthering Waves is finally available for those on PC. Of course, while many will be more than content playing it on PC, there are those who’d rather play it on PlayStation. Fortunately, it is coming, eventually. However, fans may have to wait just a little while.
Is Wuthering Waves Coming to PlayStation?
Yes, Wuthering Waves is coming to at least PlayStation 5. This was confirmed by the game’s developer via X. In a post, it announced that “the PS5 version of Wuthering Waves is now officially in development.” Of course, this may come as a surprise to many, as the console version of the game was announced all the way back in 2023 during the Unreal Fest Shanghai event.
Additionally, back in March, Lennon Li, the overseas marketing specialist for Wuthering Waves, confirmed to The Loadout that the PlayStation ports were still coming. Li stated, “We do have a plan [to release] on console, but we’re still working on it.” So, fans can rest assured that it will be coming to consoles, eventually. Nevertheless, it is reassuring to see actual confirmation of a Wuthering Waves PS5 port. You can see the official announcement below.
Unfortunately, no exact date has been confirmed for when the PS5 version will drop. Additionally, the post did not confirm whether a PS4 version will be released, although it seems unlikely at this stage. Of course, when Wuthering Waves does eventually come to PlayStation 5, it’ll be rocking the Ultra setting visuals of the PC version. Fans will be getting the full experience on PS5, so you won’t be missing out. Additionally, while waiting for the console version isn’t ideal, it does mean it’ll come with months of updates.
