Players looking to level up their weapons in XDefiant can do so more easily with a Double Weapon XP weekend. Here is when the next one is coming.
There is much to unlock in XDefiant, including different characters within each faction. Additionally, players have several weapons they can unlock and level up to earn attachments and cosmetics for them. As there are over 24 different weapons for players to level up, getting a boost in their XP would help. Luckily, a Double Weapon XP is coming that will do just the trick, and we have the details on when players can expect it to go live.
When Is the Double Weapon XP Weekend for XDefiant?
The Double Weapon XP Weekend for XDefiant is live from Friday, May 24, 2024, at 10 am PDT/1 pm PDT/6 pm BST/3 am AEST (on May 25) until Monday, May 27, 2024. The Double XP Weekend will end at the same time. The announcement comes directly from the official XDefiant X account. It is a very sudden announcement, but the event serves as a celebration of the game’s launch and is a great way for players to boost their weapon progression.
Additionally, with more weapons coming throughout the various seasons, players will want to be able to have their progression caught up to the most recent firearm. It’s a welcome announcement to see an XP event happen so early in the game, especially one that levels up your weapons. An event like this also incentivizes players to unlock other weapons and try them out. Doing so allows for different experimentation with the gunplay to see what does and doesn’t fit players’ gameplay styles.
Does the XP Weekend Event for XDefiant Also Include Player XP?
Unfortunately, there is no Double Player XP included this weekend for XDefiant. Therefore, players will have to focus as much as they can on leveling up their Weapon XP throughout the weekend event. However, there is not much value in leveling your Player XP until the Prestige system is introduced into the game. You’re better off focusing on leveling up your arsenal in the game as much as possible. Many of the attachments that change how the weapon plays are locked behind the weapon’s rank. So, having that extra XP boost will significantly help in getting those attachments unlocked.
However, this doesn’t rule out a Player XP boost in the future. It is likely that when the Prestige system is introduced, there will be a Player XP-focused weekend then. For now, it is best to hop out into the battlefield and start leveling up the weapons you wish to kit out. Furthermore, for completionists, this is a good start to unlocking all attachments for every weapon.
