MultiVersus is shaping up to be the next smash-hit platform fighter, so it’s no surprise that players are wondering whether it features crossplay.
Crossplay allows fans to play with their friends online regardless of what platform they’re on. Of course, fans want most online games to allow for this, as it ensures you’ll not only be able to play with your friends but also always find a game. It’s understandable, then, that players are wondering whether MultiVersus allows for crossplay and cross-progression. Fortunately, the good news is that Xbox and PlayStation players can finally settle their differences over a match of MultiVersus.
Does MultiVersus Have Crossplay?
Yes, MultiVersus does have crossplay across all available platforms. This includes PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. So, if you were hoping to play with your friends on different platforms, you’ll absolutely be able to. It will be turned on by default, although players will be able to toggle it off in the settings menu if they want to play exclusively with players on their platform of choice.
This has been confirmed via the game’s FAQ page, which states that the game does support crossplay. It makes sense, as the majority of online games allow for crossplay to ensure a wider player base across all platforms.

Does MultiVersus Have Cross-Progression?
Yes, MultiVersus does have cross-progression (also known as cross-save) support. This applies to all platforms. So, you’ll be able to start your account on one platform and then log-in to another and pick up right where you left off. All of your unlocked characters and progression will carry over. So, you don’t need to worry about losing any of your data.
This was also confirmed via the FAQ page. All players will need to do is log into the same MultiVersus account on whichever platform they’re playing on. That’s everything you need to know about crossplay and cross-progression in MultiVersus. For more guides just like this one, be sure to check out our Guide Hub.
