The Firecracker is located shortly after the Blue Ghost room early on in the game, and three yellow switches need to be flipped to get to it. To get it, you must leave the Blue Ghost room by platforming up and taking the left exit. Jump across the platforms in this next room and move to the next area. Hop on the moving platform and jump onto the ledge; there will be a tiny gap with a path; follow it. You’ll find yourself in a room with three yellow buttons that need to be hit. Start with the first button directly in front of you; with that, you have one down and two left to hit. The next button is below you, so drop down to the right and activate the crank. By doing this, a column platform rises out of the water with a yellow button on it. Hit the button.
Two down, one to go. However, the last one takes a small trek to get to. Once you press the water column button, there is a small gap to the left of the button, which drops down into a passage. Follow this path to the right side and ascend out of it. If done correctly, you will appear in the bottom right corner of the yellow button room. After, hit the third yellow button and jump up into the button room. Turn the crank and platform over the water to the newly-opened door. The next room you are in has a chest in the middle of it, and inside is the Firecrackers.

Firecrackers in Animal Well are useful because they temporarily light dark areas and scare away enemies, especially ghosts and blue spirits. While it will only light a room for a short time, it is a lifesaver in the game’s many almost pitch-black areas. However, the main reason Firecrackers are useful is for its ability to scare away enemies. You’ll need to use them to access several areas blocked by enemies, including the blue ghost you’ve had no choice but to run away from.
