Players now have access to a whole new arsenal of guns and equipment to use in MW3’s various game modes. However, perhaps one of the most intriguing pieces of equipment you can use is the Breacher Drone. This handy explosive device can annihilate enemies with the push of a button. Below, we explain what it is, how to use it, and, importantly, how to unlock it.
What Is the Breacher Drone in MW3?
The Breacher Drone is a piece of Lethal Equipment that will fly into nearby enemies and explode, killing them instantly. If it can’t find an enemy, it will fly in a straight line and explode on contact. Its large explosion radius ensures it’ll hit anything within close proximity, including those behind cover. Additionally, it moves extremely fast, allowing it to catch up to escaping operators.
How to Use the Breacher Drone in MW3
You use the Breacher Drone like any other piece of Lethal Equipment by aiming it and then throwing. It moves automatically once released, and you won’t be able to manually control which direction it goes in. You’ll need to ensure you’ve equipped it in your Lethal Equipment slot in the loadout menu before heading into a match.
It’s important to note that the Engineer Vest and CCT Comms Vest prohibit the use of Lethal Equipment. This means you can’t use the Breacher Drone with either of these vests equipped. However, with the Demolition Vest, you can equip up to 2 pieces of Lethal Equipment, including 2 Breacher Drones, at once.
How to Unlock the Breacher Drone in MW3
To unlock the Breacher Drone in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, you must reach level 25 and complete 3 Armory Unlock Challenges. Once it has been unlocked, it will appear in your Armory, after which you can insert it into any Loadout.
