Developer Room C Games and indie publisher Versus Evil have finally released their rogue-lite RPG, The Hand of Merlin, onto Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG.
The Hand of Merlin is a rogue-lite RPG by developers Room C Games and Croteam. There is some serious star power behind this project with writing duo Jonas Kyratzes (The Talos Principle, Serious Sam 4) and Verena Kyratzes (The Lands of Dream, Serious Sam 4) behind the game’s narrative. It is releasing into Early Access across all platform. According to its Steam store page, it intends to stay there for 4 to 6 months. Currently, there are 9 heroes, 18 spells, 32 different enemies and hundreds of encounters accessible. Room C Games have confirmed that they plan to add more guardians, heroes and encounters for the full release later this year. Robert Sajko, the Creative Director at Room C Games spoke about their desire to create a player-focused rogue-lite with boundless scope.

What Is The Hand Of Merlin?
The Hand of Merlin is a turn-based rogue-lite RPG with squad-based combat set in a world on the brink of ruin. Players must recruit three mortal heroes and set off on an epic quest to save the world. Of course, along the way, you’ll come across human and otherworldly foes hellbent on stopping you. This is a rogue-lite so every step you take and choice you make will have dire consequences. There seems to be a lot of depth to The Hand of Merlin’s systems, so I’ve boiled them down to a nice compact list. Here’s just some of what you can expect in The Hand of Merlin:
- Embark on an epic quest across the lands of Albion, Marca Hispanica and Al-Andalus to save the world
- Utilise ranged, melee and spellcasting combat as well as your own wit and tactical cunning to defeat your foes

- Improve your weapons and armour in the various towns scattered across the world, or trade with hermits hiding in the wild

The Hand of Merlin is available right now on PC. It costs $24.99/£18.99/€22.49 for the Standard Edition.
