The latest Pokemon Go Community Day event for April 2024 is here, and players can catch shiny Bagon with a powerful Featured Attack.
Pokemon Go Trainers are in for a treat with the April 2024 Community Day Classic: Bagon. It starts on Sunday, April 7, 2024, from 2 pm to 5 pm local time. With plenty of rewards to earn and Bagon to catch, it’s best we get straight into the details. Here’s what you need to know about the event.
What Pokemon Will Be Featured in the April 2024 Community Day?
Bagon, the Rock Head Pokemon, will be the featured Pokemon during the April 2024 Community Day event. Of course, if you’re incredibly lucky, you may even encounter a shiny version of Bagon during the event. Fingers crossed.
If you also manage to evolve Shelgon, Bagon’s evolution, into the legendary Dragon Salamence either during the event or up to two hours after it finishes, it will get the Charged Attack Outrage. Here are the details of that attack:

- Gyms and raids: 110 power

You will be able to get access to the exclusive Bagon Community Day Classic Special Research story for just $1.00 (or your regional equivalent). Buying this will get you additional encounters with Bagon, ensuring you’ve got a greater chance of catching it. And all for less than the cost of a cup of coffee.
If you’re feeling kind, you can also gift tickets to your friends. The only restriction is you’ll need to have a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with them. So only you’re best mates are eligible. Tickets are nonrefundable, and you can’t gift to a friend who already owns the Bagon Community Day Classic Special Research story, so it’s worth checking in with them to make sure they haven’t nabbed it for themselves.
Event Bonuses
There are only a handful of bonuses during the Bagon Community Day Event, which include:
- 3× XP for catching Pokémon
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise
Field Research and Pokestop Showcases
There will be Community Day Classic-themed Field Research for all Trainers to take part in. All you’ll need to do is catch Bagon, and you’ll be rewarded with even more Bagon encounters (we just can’t get enough of the guy), Stardust, Great Balls, and more.
Bagon will also be the featured Pokemon at PokeStop Showcases. So, make sure you keep an eye on that.
Pokemon Go Community Day Classic Bagon Event Bundles
There are just two bundles you can pick up during the Pokemon Go Community Day Classic Bagon event that are cheaper than usual. These are the same that have appeared in past Community Day events. Here are the details:
Bundle #1: 480 PokeCoins
The first bundle, which costs 480 PokeCoins, gets you the following rewards:
- 30 Ultra Balls
- 1 Incense
- 3 Super Incubators
- 1 Lure Module
Bundle #2: 1,350 PokeCoins
The second bundle, which costs 1,350 PokeCoins, will get you the following rewards:
- 50 Ultra Balls
- 5 Super Incubators
- 1 Elite Charged TM
- 5 Lucky Eggs
